{"id":724,"date":"2011-11-13T17:33:02","date_gmt":"2011-11-13T17:33:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stjohn.openbar.com\/airplane\/?p=724"},"modified":"2011-11-13T17:33:02","modified_gmt":"2011-11-13T17:33:02","slug":"wiring-3-0-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stjohn.openbar.com\/airplane\/?p=724","title":{"rendered":"Wiring 3.0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, I know, not much. \u00a0 I got new wiring in for the backup instrument. \u00a0 I&#8217;m trying to minimize my RCA connections, and an ugly Y-adapter to combine both the IO Extender and the sensor package is uncool. \u00a0 I&#8217;ve started on removing the 15-foot rca cable from the sensors, and I hope to have that done today. \u00a0 While I&#8217;m at it, I&#8217;ll try to rebundle the wires so they make sense: \u00a0data cables in a data cable bundle, power in a power bundle, etc.<\/p>\n<p>This head cold I&#8217;ve been incubating hit me like a ton of bricks last night, so the next few updates may look like 19th-century absinthe-ramblings, but instead of absinthe it&#8217;ll be one of the various &#8216;Quils available.<\/p>\n<p>And as an added bonus, i&#8217;m going to get the GPS&lt;-&gt;ELT connection up and running. \u00a0 Hopefully I can do this without setting off the ELT. \u00a0That would be, um, bad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2 hours.
