{"id":750,"date":"2011-12-31T02:12:32","date_gmt":"2011-12-31T02:12:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stjohn.openbar.com\/airplane\/?p=750"},"modified":"2011-12-31T02:12:32","modified_gmt":"2011-12-31T02:12:32","slug":"another-productive-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stjohn.openbar.com\/airplane\/?p=750","title":{"rendered":"Another productive day."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>4 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Bunch of stuff happened today. \u00a0Shelley helped me get the fuel lines secured with Adel clamps, and I got the fuel pump reinstalled and wired up. \u00a0It works! \u00a0 I also got the tunnel cover finished, but didn&#8217;t get to setting up the cabin heat cable. \u00a0 \u00a0The throttle quadrant also went back in. \u00a0\u00a0It&#8217;s nice to finally see the &#8216;damage&#8217; from the avionics install and wiring fiasco put right and parts that were languishing on shelves put back on the airplane.<\/p>\n<p>There is no end to wiring. \u00a0 I cable-wrapped the antenna \u00a0wires and worked on the GS\/NAV splitter mounting. \u00a0Fortunately, there were two holes ready made for it (not really, they just coincidentally lined up). \u00a0 But I stopped dead in my tracks when my cable stripper exploded. \u00a0 I need a new one from Radio Shack ASAP. \u00a0 But once that&#8217;s done, the avionics wiring is just about done. \u00a0 Finished. \u00a0Fin. \u00a0The end.<\/p>\n<p>Still have to figure out how to connect the marker beacon antenna. \u00a0 It comes out of the audio panel as a single shielded wire, but it has to connect to a big, fat length of RG400. \u00a0 How the hell do I do that?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>4 hours.
